HOT NEW BOREALIS RECORDING

Recorded on the beautiful Italian instruments loaned by the CHIMEI Culture Foundation, this new CD recording by the Borealis features Beethoven and Mendelssohn quartets and will be available on iTunes store shortly.
This CD was recorded in the Spring of 2008 following a very difficult time for the Borealis. Due to difficulties with her pregnancy, Patricia wasn't able to perform with the Borealis for much of 2007. After the very happy introduction to the world of Nicholas, Patricia needed some extra time to adapt to her new circumstances as a mother. Throughout this time, it was a challenge to prepare all the music for this recording. However, we are delighted that we were able to complete the project in the fall of 2008 and very satisfied with the results.
The Borealis would like to thank the CHIMEI Culture Foundation for sponsoring this project and loaning the Italian instruments used in this recording. As well, we would like to thank the UBC, School of Music for allowing the use of the Recital Hall.
A special thank you to producer, Karen Wilson and recording engineer, David Simpson for the dedication and work.
We hope you enjoy the recording!
Now, you can join Borealis String Quartet on Facebook !!!
