STRING QUARTET + CHOIR = VIGIL

Colour and Sound come together on February 21 at 2:00pm at Christ Church Cathedral. Have you seen the Aurora Borealis, the amazing phenomenon of light in the Northern sky? Maybe, but have you "Heard" the Aurora Borealis?

The Borealis will perform together with the Christ Church Cathedral Choir featuring the world premiere of Canadian composer Bruce Ruddell's new piece, "Vigil", the powerful work dedicated to the women, murdered and missing, of the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver and the "Highway of Tears."

Also on the program is a quartet especially commissioned for the Borealis, "Ashes" by Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy and Beethoven's monumental String Quartet in E Minor, Opus 59, No.2

Tickets available at the door. General admission $20; Seniors, Students & Borealis Society Members $15
