On Saturday, November 21, 2009, the Borealis String Quartet held a special fundraising gala and CD launch. We were thrilled to have our friends there to share this special ocassion with us. It was a very successful event raising thousands of dollars!

Part of the Fundraising Gala was the presentation of the first annual Borealis Chamber Music Award. We are delighted to announce the presentation of this award to David Lemon for his contributions to chamber music in Vancouver. Many thanks to Vancouver artist, Jeanette G. Lee, for kindly donating a beautiful copper etching as the award.

The Borealis String Quartet deeply appreciates all those who came and gave their support!
